Body Corporate Manager

SSKB is Castlebar Cove’s body corporate manager which is contracted with the body corporate to provide administrative services, including sending out levy notices, calling committee and general meetings, forwarding minutes of meetings and managing the body corporate’s finances including the administrative and sinking funds, paying accounts, monitoring expenses against budget, arranging insurances amongst other things.

The body corporate manager is a non-voting member of the committee.

The body corporate manager must comply with the “Code of Conduct for Body Corporate Manager and Caretaking Service Contractors” (BCCM Act, schedule2) when performing obligations under the contract of engagement. In particular, the Code requires the Body Corporate Manager to act in the best interest of the body corporate unless it is unlawful to do so.
